So who am I, and why do I think I’m qualified to help people network more effectively?

My name is Juli Monroe, and my personal vision is to be the hands that draw people together. Everything I do today is aimed in that direction.

But it wasn’t always that way. I used to be a wallflower. I know that meeting people isn’t easy for everyone. Because of that, I know how to ask the right questions to help new networkers find their own voice and their own path to building business relationships. For many years, I have been instrumental in mentoring business owners and sales people, helping them learn to develop word of mouth and relationship marketing skills to promote themselves and their businesses effectively.

Recently, I volunteered my services to all the entrants in the Community Business Partnership’s annual Business Plan Contest. I worked with most of the entrants on their 30 second elevator speeches. There was a notable difference between the people who worked with me, and those that didn’t. Spending just a little bit of time working on key skills can dramatically increase your effectiveness.
